Installation Instructions
The installer will guide you through the setup
process, and once it's finished, File Query will be installed and a shortcut to it will be placed in your start menu as well as in your Send
To menu. This allows you to open any file in File Query by right cliking it and then chosing File Query from the Send To menu. File Query
will be fully functional for 30 days, and after which it will need to be registered. You can register at any time by purchasing a serial
key and entering it into the program. (Help -> Register) You can then check for updates by going to Help -> Check for Updates.
Getting Started
After installing File Query, go to the
support page, and download the
Quick Start Guide, or check out the
"Getting Started" video series. This will help you get started with using the program,
and take you through multiple examples, using an included example file.
Trouble Installing?
If you have an older version of Windows XP, or the installer fails for any reason, try downloading the installer from
here. Once downloaded, you must unzip the installer, and the run Setup.exe. This will install
any necessary components you might be missing, such as .NET 3.5, before installing File Query. If you are still having trouble, send us a
message over at the
support page.
